The latter ENHANCED™ HPLC columns have non-chlorosilane bonded phase and non-chlorosilane end-capping. Phase options include C18, C8 and C4 in 100A & 300A. Historic chiral phases did not and still DO NOT HAVE A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TARGET POLARITY AND ELUENT STRENGTH. With RBC-1 there is a relationship between target polarity and eluent strength, therefore as in standard RP & NP chromatography, gradients are routinely used in RBC-1 chromatographic method development.
